Resources for Nonprofits
The Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley is dedicated to assisting nonprofit organizations in acomplishing their missions.
The Community Foundation's main objective is to administer endowment funds that are established by area donors to benefit local nonprofit organizations. These funds often carry the name of the donor or organization that the fund serves. Many of these funds are already designated by the donor to benefit certain nonprofit organizations, but other funds are unrestricted or have been established to benefit a broad "field of interest". The grants from these funds are awarded as Community Grants through a competative grant process administered by the Community Foundation.
Please browse our Nonprofit Guide to Available Funds page for information on applying for grants. The Community Grant cycle timelines and requirements for funds are listed below, please be sure to follow all instructions and send in any additional materials before the deadline listed on the application.
Community Grant Cycle
The Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley utilizes a competitive grant process to award Community Grants to area nonprofit organizations. Grant applications are accepted all year and reviewed by our Grants Committee in October of each year. The Community Grants are awarded during the Foundation's Annual Philanthropy/Day of Giving Celebration in November/December.
If you are interested in submitting a grant request, please carefully read all application details to see if your organization and project fit within the fund's criteria and timeframe.
